You, Be the Judge!

Two friends got into a kind of, (should I call it), argument or debate, about crosses. One was saying that there are deserved crosses and undeserved crosses. He said we are not supposed to carry every cross that came our way. That only the cross sent to us by God we are supposed to carry cheerfully.

The other one was saying a cross is cross, whether deserved or undeserved, we should carry them!

It was such a heated argument.  It got me thinking and confused at the same time.
Which  of them is actually correct? The matter is not settled yet. Both of them are diehard debators! Lol! None gives in easily.

Can somebody, please, come to the rescue? Help, before the heat of the argument becomes a fire that could burn!  In fact, from all indications, it appears the debate has become a cross in itself. How do we help them carry it together, or drop it? Your comment, please.
